Rear CV Boot torn
I couln't figure out what that oil was on the garage floor... I found out when I looked under the car..."When I returned from a quick drive"...argh
I have a torn cv boot on the rear of the car... My heart sunk becuase at this point I felt very lucky that the drive shaft didn't explode from the CV not being lubricated by grease.
Leson learned, if I see anything on the garge floor that is more that a drop of anything, a quick inspection shall follow before taking to the road...

Hey David,
Not the worse thing in the world. If the CV joint didn't get a lot of dirt in it it's likely still fine.
At least it happened on the easier side. Removing the halfshaft from the passenger side is a pain w/ the tranny loop there.
Go ahead and replace both boots on that shaft while you have it out of the car. The other likely isn't far behind.
