I would be interested as well, but would have to know the price for sure before I would say "yes" 100%. So is this unit a plug and play then you can use the piggyback to fine tune then? Does it have the 300rwhp max as talked about earlier? Can you keep the stock J-boot? What is the best est. time of knowing all the info and/or the product(s) will be ready?

Oops, I didn't notice anything about a 300RWHP max. If that's the case, then mark me off as I'm already pretty much there.

FWIW, my mechanic who has built some very serious turbos says the Pro-M is the best unit. He's tried several and the Pro-M is the only one that did everything he needed, just right. Yes, it is just word of mouth but he told me IF I was going to buy one, get the Pro-M. I'm a "maybe" on your group buy, depending. I don't think you said anything about 300 max whp, did you? that would be kind of lame, as most folks can approach 300 WHP without a MAF.

Is this Pro-M MAF the same unit, or brand as Pro Flow? I have a Pro-Flo on my car and have been trying to locate informantion on it.
Thanks for help. Scott

what use is a big 80mm MAF if it is calabrated to the stock AFM. It will max out well below 300rwhp just like the stock unit right?

There will be several calibration options available, from a direct stock replacement to 500+hp.

so non-AFM calibrations will need a matching MAF chip.

That's one option, yes, and we will have chips burned to match.

Pro-M was purchased by Best Products and the AFM was marketed as Pro-Flow. Then Best Product went out of business in March 2005. I have some Best Product INC (Pro-Flow) data sheets if that is what you are looking for.

If the price is right, I would be interested in a chip/AFM calibrated for larger Turbos.

Here's what I know.

Pro-M has just finished producing a massive batch of MAFs for the Eagle Talon / Mitusbishi Eclipse market and is ready to focus on us. They have all of the original 951 AFM flow rate information in the archives so there will be no waiting on testing.

From how it looks right now, we have a variety of flavors depending on how you want to tune your car:

Direct AFM replacement - If you don't plan on really upgrading your car much and just want a nice kick of a few extra horsepower, here you go. This by far is the quicker & cheapest option but this has the same horsepower limitations as the stock AFM.
  • You need a Pro-M MAF and the vane-air translator box.
  • Can be used with STOCK chips (why you'd want to I have no idea) or ANYONE's aftermarket chips (LR, SFR, Guru, etc.)
Pro-M MAF with the Pro-M 'Power Pefect' digital MAS controller and larger injectors - We connect a laptop to the Power Pefect and dial the Pro-M to match your injectors, then ship the unit to you. Not much work honestly and you'd get step by step instructions on how to fine tune it on your own later.
  • You need a Pro-M MAF, vane air translator, the Pro-M tuner box, and your choice of aftermarket injectors.
  • Can be used with STOCK chips (why you'd want to I have no idea) or ANYONE's aftermarket chips (LR, SFR, Guru, etc.)
Pro-M MAF with larger injectors and custom chips - This will provide the best possible tune but will not be available immediately due to the fact we haven't had the time to fine tune chips for public use. While a Power Perfect isn't REQUIRED it's still highly highly recommended for that precise tune.
  • You need a Pro-M MAF, vane air translator, and your choice of aftermarket injectors.
  • Must use custom chips.

Hope that helps. More news in the near future.
