Fastest 996 TT in the WORLD??

Thomas, you forget that normally it doesn't include the GrandPrix track of the Nurgburgring, only the old track. On this video you have to start from about 2:30 and end at 9:20 to measure the time he drove on the old track.

Ok ,I thought that was him. I saw him on espen 5-6 years ago in the white 993 and he was i nthe finals for drag, but the rear end gave out.
I had never seen a street car squat that much on a launch!!! It was awesome to see, especially a 911 model type.

Lart951, if you do have that video of Frank Stippler on the Nurburgring, the black car in front of him at the start is the car mentioned above. So, yes it's generally faster, but I must say that the GT3 seems much faster through the slow corners.

Yes the car looked fast but I always go with objective measurements when available rather than impressions such as thode from a blury video.
My car always feels much faster when I've washed it....

I ALSO rememberr one where a guy ran out of his shoes b/c he was walking around w/out shoe laces, or, maybe they were just untied.... hey.... it doesn't matter if you end up face-down, ***-up, legs spread, licking pavement.... just as long as you look cool..... right.....? or do I mean kewl.....? If you give me your email address (and have enough room in your inbox) I'll send you a couple of the pics I took today. I have their Super 61# but for the same price you can get the Super 75#, that is if your up for a little fun and want to have the most stupid size turbo anyones ever seen!! At the expense of it not being at all usable on the road!
The turbos are made by these guys...

and sold by these guys...

Hope you can translate the technical specs better than I can. If your interested email me and I'll see about getting an exact price from my guy.

I don't think he even has that car anymore- I'm pretty sure he sold it long ago b/c the same article said he was looking into a newer car w/multi-link rear & I think the 993 was the first to get that- I don't know my 911's well enough- I just know I love them & they're out of my league....
If you want the short version he was running a chop shop out of his "race shop" and was caught with a number of parts. He spent some time in jail and it cost him his business. They did develop a 996 drag car with A2 performance (IIRC, the information and pictures are out there) but no one wants to work with him now. Maybe in the future...who knows.
