Yes, akkurat had 3 cars at the vegas shootout, and you wouldn't want to mess with any of them. The fastest car went 11.012 seconds in the 1/4mile and that was EVO's car. The nuclear banana (680 at the wheels/stephen kaspar's Imagine Auto car) went 11.094. I have been in and driven stephen's car, and quite honestly it is scarey when he is driving. He stopped racing high end cars on the interstate, and now likes to pick on crotch rockets, thats how fast it is. It goes as fast from 70-135 as it does from 0-60. Evo's car also dynoed at 830 at the wheels before puking the clutch during the shootout. Akkurats fastest car went 11.540 in the 1/4 and their top car dynod at 678 to the wheels. Also, the 996 is not a 1/4 mile car, but when you can lay down those numbers and have a car that tops out where they do (the cars in the shootout, not a stock 996), that is pretty impressive.

Chris- that's right- I just didn't remember correctly- actually, the first car was even a 964 IIRC- it was a 1993 he bought in 1995- he dropped a turbo engine in it, etc.... Turbo mag had a big write-up on it in '99, as did several others, when he hit 9.17@161..... !!!

I would agree.. But what would I know???... I just changed the screen name, too. Unfortunately, there is no IQ test to connect to the Internet - and less to "register" to a public web site and post. To have confirmation of that - simply ask why someone's Avatar and post/login name was changed....
