well i just bought the blow off valve and when i get on higher boost i can hear it making a fluttering noise unlike the noise i hear at lower psi. so either it ripped the first time i bought it or i am having surge. I talked to nz and he said the same thing happen to him.

The HKS SSQV has 2 valves from what I understand. It has a small one that opens at very minimal pressure, and the large one is for much higher pressure. Due to this, typically they can create a "flutter" noise, but I don't think it is actual compressor surge.

The flutter is likely the valve opening and closing a little, the gobble is the surge, the rush of air back to the compressor.

the 993tt bov would make a nice pssshhh sound under 15psi but after that it would make a weird noise. this is one reason why i switched. this was done with my upgraded turbo too. i will have some video tonight of me doing 10psi runs and it pulls nice

Im running a Forge dv004 atmo ram dump valve, it is a twin piston design and it works and looks really nice its not to big and is adjustable.. its not loud either just enough to know its doing its job.
