Hi,
I am trying to upgrade my car on a small budget. So I'm in the market for a used or cheap testpipe. Just something that can easily replace my cat. Can an exhaust shop replace the cat with a straight pipe?

They can but i doubt they will because of emissions and a big fine.

What they can do is make it for you, and then you take it home and install it.

i don't have emissions here so yes it would be fine but not sure where u are. test pipe is the best way so u can bolt and unbolt for emissions

Take your license plate off the car and ask them to put a test pipe on your race car that only sees track time. They will not get a fine for doing exhaust work on a track only car.
