Boost Limit Problem

eastendr: The guy installing the unit is still having problems with the boost. He replaced the wastegate with a known working unit and we still had issues. He checked the blow off valve and that still didn't solve anything. We are now going to take the turbo off. The car builds boost at the beginning but once it starts getting into the higher RPMS and higher boost the boost starts fluttering. The guage goes up and down by 10lbs. Since everything has been tested the only thing to suspect is the turbo. I am hoping that I can get away with a turbo rebuild. Other than that the car runs fine on normal driving. He has done almost if not all of the cold start, normal driving tuning. The car was already making 320 RWHP before the boost would act up. I hope this turbo situation is the problem and the last one he has to deal with.

I also used to get fluctuation in boost pressure when it was wound up - oscillating between 13-18psi.
I managed to finally resolve it on the dyno by fine tuning the gain setting on the EBC (SBC-iD).
That is with a LR DPW and completely empty stainless steel 3" exhaust system !
Keep us informed of progress. I'm waiting for Dave Lindsey to ship my Wolf over as soon as it's available. Then hit that dyno HARD !
