I was just planning on re-routing my headlight washers and then just re-using the factory headlight washer switch.

Pete,

The pump is the factory headlight washer pump.
The nozzles are from a hardware shop, I am not 100% happy with this and still trying to find ones that have better atomization.
The pressure switch is a Hobbs http://content.honeywell.com/sensing...scorp/P3_6.pdf.

The wiring arrangement :

1) 12V -> ON/Off switch (optional if you don't want the waterspray on all the time) -> Positive terminal of factory headlight pump.

2) Ground -> one size of Hobbs Switch -> The other side of Hobbs switch -> Negative terminal of factory headlight pump.

3) Hose from Vacum -> Hobbs Switch

Now all you have to do is use a hex key to adjust and what pressure level the Hobbs switch will short it circuit.

Hope this help.

Thanks hmd!

Actually I had a mistypo in my question about the pump,b/c I am also going to use headlight washer pump.

About the nozzles, which size do you now use?Are they plastic or bronze?

I have to start looking those pressure switches.

BTW Scootin159,original headlight washer switch/wiring can't be used,b/c the relay has triggered timer. It only gives a one short pulse no matter how long the switch is pressed. It has to be by-passed somehow.Eg like hmd does.

Pete,

I used the ones on autospeed, very decent atomisation (bronze) using a VDO pump and chosen for a WS application.

Pete,

I bought my Hobbs switch for A$30. I am using plastic garden nozzles but looking for better one.

I done the same setup with a wrx before and so I just took the hobbs switch and did the same with the 951. The 951 has a much bigger water capacity and if you don't use the headlight washer the plumbing is pretty straight forward to do compare to the wrx.

I just adjust the Hobbs switch so I have about .5 ltr of water left in the bottle after a session on a particular track that I go to. On the street I just turn the thing off.

If you run a dual stage water injection, with one injector before the IC and one after, the pre injector will act as a cooler for the IC.

You do not inject water before the intercooler, ever.

Does anyone know what (or where) the pumps that Aquamist or Snow Performance use on their water injection kits are available from?

I think I found my answer. Snows pump is a Shurflo.

Here is my implementation of intercooler water spray (in series with a port water injection as a recirculating system):
