My gaps arelittle wide too. I don't know if that will have much of an impact. Any way, they are getting replaced with NGK BPR7ES.
I thought about using the BPR7YES plugs with the V-groove. But I don't think that would help much. They claim it move the spark outward more.

those photos of the bosch platinum shows exactly why they shouldn't be used. you'll notice that the center 'platinum' electrode has worn away to the point it's recessed into the ceramic insulation.
despite what people say, i think bosch platinum plugs wear out faster than anything else on the market.

Actually, if you look at the website, it shows that it the design. The electrode is recessed inside the insulator.

Encouraged by this thread, I changed to NGK BPR7ES plugs today (old ones were Beru somethings, due for replacement anyway). Also cleaned and re-oiled the K&N filter... and what do you know, the thing just might run a bit smoother. Or then it's just the psychological effect after a small tune-up

I completely forgot about this dyno chart. It shows me going rich as I am losing boost due to a faulty wastegate (getting changed soon). I max at 13psi before quickly dropping...
