Noone on Rennlist has ever claimed to have a 500 RWHP 951 with a 2.5 8 valve - not even close.

I will let you know when that happens before the end of this year.

Funcrusher- I think I know the guy you're talking about- was 86 951 or 86 944 turbo or something... the name was similar to another poster, so, not to be confused- the guy in question had a 540HP JME built 3.1L turbo charged 968 engine- his name is Kurt & I have talked w/him a FEW times- he's a great guy- his car was even in the SCC top 100 cars challenge or somethng thereof, a few years back ,but, they stalled around a lot after the initial issue that his & Everyone elses cars were in & I'm not sure they ever even finished the contest... anyway, as for running high- he ran 133 or 134 or something & was in the high 12'ss IIRC., BUT, he broke traction SO BAD, that he let off in 1st, hit it again, let off again, short shifted to 2nd & went from there- he KILLED his run & STILL did that well- JM told me he knew of a 10 second 951 too- he said it was streetable... As for Tony G & others running high-11's, that would be pretty impressive- it WOULD take a good 400RWHP/TQ- 993TTS was the fastest 911 since 959 & they ususally ran ~12.2- the best I ever saw was 11.9 & they had just over 400FWHP/TQ, so.... 959's broke into 11's- but, they had to be launched HARD- shift into 4th setting (there were 4 total- 1st was dry, 2nd was wet, 3rd was snow & ice, 4th was mud), put it into "G" (Gerrande, or something, which meant offroad or something- they were supposed to start in 1st normally, as "G" was REALLY short- not sure how short- need to find ther gears someday & find out) then, rev it to redline & drop the clutch leaving 4 thick black marks.... harsh for a SERIOUS exotic IMO.... OK.... babbeled enough....

Yes - the car Robby is talking about is a 3.1 968 not a 951 engine.

Yes, it was a 3.1L turbo 968 engine- he had the 968 6-sp tranny too- I hate that gearing- I have no idea what Porsche was thinking w/that one- seems they would have used the 6th gear to push all other gears a little closer, while still having a little more relzed top gear for the best of both worlds- instead, 6th redlines @ 155, whereas 5th in 951 redlines @ 167... 968 redlines @: 1st- 40, 2nd- 63, 3rd- 88, 4th- 114, 5th- 139, 6th- 155...You can imagine how fast that kind of HP/TQ rips through THOSE gears...

Jim- care to share any of your future plans? BTW- how much boost are you running? How many miles did your engine have when you did the Vitesse stuff? Did you rebuild it first? Did you have headwork done (not sure what all the Stage 3 includes)? I need to check out their website again- your #'s are awesome! Also, where are you? Is the load dyno near you?

Robby - 100% stock head and stock headgasket - no widefire, no o-ring.
Stock block with 90,000.
Dyno is a few miles from my house.

I am having distributor problems right now, but I have a feeling it is possible to run wasted spark with the Motronic, if you know the right dudes.
