Rennbay Track control arm/ball joint kit
Anyone using the Rennbay ball joint kit track version with bronze bushings?
Just curious how they work--hopefully not any more stress to the aluminum control arm as to cause cracking, etc.
How come Porsche never updated to metal bushings in the control arms? And don't say cost--they knew the joint was a weak point. And even their racing arms didn't use metal bushings (at least not any I've heard of).
If Porsche did use metal bushings in their race applications, let me know. I'm ordering the Rennbay track bushings but I am slightly worried about higher stress to the control arm aluminum. But Travis said the metal bushings will work with slightly more arm damage when replacing. As my joint is definitely shot, I'm worried about some deformation in the arm. Plus, if the aluminum can handle the higher stress, the metal bushing joint is definitely better.
Any thoughts on this matter . . . .
