My car came with the Koni yellows straight from the factory, i don't have the sport option (M030). You can get new Koni inserts from Paragon, also you need to purchase the hardware kit they sell and spend ~1hr to modify the struts (converting from oil to gas-pressured). I tackles the springs (welmiester 200lbs w/o spacers), replaced ALL the rubber, bushings, seals, strut mounts since everything comes out anyway.

I run bilstein escorts and love them. But, the ride for some might be too harsh. In my opinion you say you want maybe a little more than 300whp...well the 26/6 is seriously running outta gas at that point and it will make the power but, honestly if you are looking for longevity you need to ditch the factory 26 to make that power. Not only that it sounds like you got alot of maintance work to do on your motor. Belts, seals, rollers, vac lines, plugs & wires would be a good start. Also get a good aftermarket boost gauge. The factory one is **** and you really need to know what kind of boost you are running at all times.

I say buy a kit thats ment to work together. YOu dont need a standalone for 300-325rwhp. You really dont. Buy a stage 2 kit from vitesse with some good chips and some supporing mods and you'd be fine.

However I think the 951 in stock form is quite fast around the track. I was really suprised myself at how they really handle when setup properly. I say buy some new shocks/spring,pagid pads. Run some high temp brake fluid. Brake bias valve was a great idea already mentioned. Get some good tires. And for the performance department get you a LBE or something run 11-12psi on a otherwise stock car just for a little more kick and improved spool up and your golden.

Learn how to drive the car well with 230-240crank hp first and when you feel that you and the car are ready(remember maintance...a good platform is so important) then go with a full on Vitesse turbo kit. some larger injectors DP wastegate from Lindsey along with their exhaust.....get her tuned and dialed in. Make your 325+rwhp on pump gas and modest boost levels so you keep the temps down and the reliabilty high.

A 300hp 951 is one quick 951. Especially if your car is making the tq and has nice curves. You'd be surprised how fast you can be at the track..and even around town on occasion.

So thats my advice. Get the suspension done....buy a LBE dial up to 11-12psi with the aftermarket boost gauge...then learn how to drive. Then rest will come. You will find yourself spending alot more money than you had in mind if you go about this the wrong way.

My car is making 300whp on the 26/6 but, you have to remember the engine/tranny/turbo/ect. all only have about 35k on them. Your car has over 150k on it. You got alot of maintance to do before the real modding begins.

The TRSCCA runs autox twice a month out at the Nashiville speedway.
Go to the trscca.com website for schedule. It costs $25 for the day.
Autox is a great way to learn car control. Also it would be fun to have another
951 to run against.

As far as suspension goes talk with the guy's at Paragon Products they know their stuff. Decide just how you want to use the car in the future and modify accordingly.

On the engine side I'd...
Do a compression, leak down test to help determine the condition of the head and rings.
replace all vac lines and hoses
check all the under hood sensor wires and connectors.
upgrade the batt cables
fix all oil leaks
Add a boost / vac gauge
Then after the you know the engine is in top condition
Sfr header
cross over
Tial waste gate
full 3" exhaust
AFR sensor
Vitesse Stage 2 kit.

Just my .02

Isn't the different between the two options (474 and M030) the sway bars for non-USA models? There is a S2 here with the M030 option, UK specifications and has Koni yellows all round........just asking

If you want a fun drivable car, this is after maintnance. My a maf kit, full 3" exhaust, chips, boost controller, 3 bar or adjustable fpr. Run no more than 15 psi for longevity and have fun. This will make the car as fast as you will ever need. Just my $.02. BTW, make sure to get it dynoed to test a/f and yes buy a good boost gauge. Don't waste your money on a narrow band a/f, if you are doing an a/f buy a wideband.
