What is this chip?
Opened up the DME because it looked like it had been opened and my waste gate had been shimmed. Got it open and like suspected there is a aftermarket chip in there. Can some one tell me whos chip this is?:
951/85-87/2732A
Euro Products DME
Thats what was printed on the chip.
Thanks a head of time

So you have a Europroducts DME and a Vitesse KLR? hmmm.....i don't like the sound of that, since every vendor sells a matched set of chips (both DME and KLR), ever considered contacting John on the issue of DME chips??

The DME chip carries all the fuel maps.

Hi all. I found an old chip in an 87 951 with the same numbers as Ian's but from Vertex Automotive. I realize this discussion happened in 2005 but I punched the numbers in google and this is all that came up ^-^ Has anyone ever heard of Vertex Automotive or had experience with them? I figured I might as well put it in my car as Im still running the stock chips.

The old school chips (Welt & APE) both ran too lean in high RPMs. But just as importantly is ignition timing advance...
Without knowing whats on your chip, it is impossible to make an educated guess...
Personally, with the unknown chip, I would stay near stock boost (11-12psi).
