Bullet brand 4x6 oval, will have to check on length

Sorry David.

Borla makes them in stainless too. I got one from Summit Racing.

Two mufflers? Good lord. With just one straight-through muffler and a test pipe, I really liked my exhaust and was worried that adding the cat would muffle it too much. Thankfully it didn't do anything to the sound! My wife said "It shakes the house when you leave in the morning."

Perfect.

(before you ask, I'm mid-30's and the 951 is one of the quieter cars I've had!)

so removing the cat and switching to a test-pipe makes the car significantly louder?

With the 3" pipe and 2 mufflers, I can still rattle the windows in the hood if I choose.

David, so adding the muffler mellowed out the sound, but still sounds good under power? Sounds like the way to go, anybody know what size a Bursch test pipe is? I can't seem to find dimensions anywhere.

Nope, I switched from a test pipe to a cat and did not notice any appreciable difference. I'll admit, the cat is a matching 3" racing cat so very little restriction...I like it.

Yes, mellowed out is a good discription.

Bursch is 2.5"

Thanks David, sounds like just what I was looking for. Do you feel that it had any effect on HP or spool time? Of course, if you have a 2.8 you have a bit more to spare than I do.

No ill effects on the "butt" dyno, just be sure to get a straight thru design.
