Default front struts?

AMAF style question, Can I install these in a 86' 944 turbo, I need to move my parts car out of my garage and I dont have any struts. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW

If they don't fit does anybody have for sale any old struts that would fit a 86 951

I have koni adjustable's for the front and rear that came off my 86 951. I live in LA but the shocks are up north at a buddies house, let me know if you are interested.

Since the struts from an 86' 951 are a popular upgrade for the early 83-85 cars, I would say, yes they will fit.

They will fit, but why waste money on used parts when you can "rebuild" your struts? Paragon Products has Koni Adjustable inserts for about $150.00 each.

Here is a link to the installation insturctions: Koni Strut Inserts

Plus if what I've been told is correct, you'll need to machine off 1mm from each side to make it fit. Supposedly the early style ones require 20mm whereas the later / 951 struts have 18mm of clearance only. Going the other way would require a shim of 1mm on each side.

Just buy some wheel creepers and set the front end down on those

I've got a set of struts with stock NA springs, upper perches and top nuts (no strut bearings) siiting in my garage just taking up space. The struts are totally shot and were removed from my '87 NA.

I can let you have them real cheap, but shipping is gonna be a bear.
