Default European car mag project951 turbo install

He guys,
Pick up this month European car mag.
They installed and dynoed a SFR 60-1 hi-fi T4 turbine turbo.
Not a big article do. You could almost read it at the magazine shop.

Enjoy

I bought the issue. Pretty good, disappointing numbers, somewhat.

Sure, with the new turbo 338 and 350 at 17 psi. Old Koklen stage V 307 and 310 at 17 psi. I know that is pretty respectable but I wold have expected more from that turbo.

It's the April issue.
They called it the project car issue.

The project 951 dynoed 337rwhp @ 5600rpm and 350lb-ft@ 4830rpm at 17psi.

You guys should buy it. I figure it's like supporting or cars when they are published and the tuner's.
These articles gets the 951 out from the fast car closet.

338 vs 307 - Looks like a 31 HP gain to me. Quick math says that's a 10% gain.
350 vs 310 - Here again, we're talking 40 ft lbs. That's what - a 13% gain? What am I missing?

Sorry I just thought that it should be putting down more power than that.

A quick trip to SFR's web site indicates the turbo is $1200 and works on a stock 951, where their dyno charts have the engine producing 348 HP - not bad for a turbo swap.

You HP guys are vicious.

Seems like very good gains to me! 10-13% is NOT easy to find!

I don't think it's impressive when you factor in the
mods & cash that was thrown in. Edman, what about
the boost threshold ? Using a T4 hot housing might
mean more lag.

Thats the same config TonyG made all his HP on... but that had JME parts... I dont think there has been much work to the engine.
