Default Boost guage installation

I am trying to install a VDO boost guage and I am curious as to how to splice into the clear line to the KLR. The hose that attaches to the boost guage is a much smaller diamter then the clear KLR hose, what should I use to splice in and what have you guys done to ensure the splice doesn't leak air? I would appreciate any help. Thanks in advance,
Maciek

You can pick up a rubber T (you can then use zip ties and make sure it doesnt leak, but it should be tight enough connection not to) to use as a connector, from any parts store. If you do a search you can find the proper size you will need. I can't remember exactly what it is off the top of my head. Also, most say to splice as close to the manifold as possible, not down by the KLR.

You could leave the KLR line and do this:

Takes <5 mins and is probably the shortest plumbing route.

I found a place selling VDO boost/vacuum guages.. I think I'll go with the 150-121 part from VDO.. It goes from 0-30 In.Hg. to 0-25 PSI and this place has it at $30.00. Also, it's 2 1/16 diameter.

Anyone ever test several boost guages head to head to check accuracy? A guy I know who drag races turbo hondas told me not to go with autometer, but I see most of the people here use autometer. How are the VDO gauges?

And who makes the gauge clusters for under the stereo?

I got my gauge cluster from Lindsey.
Look under body parts.

Do a search on the install....you will find plenty of info. It's a very simple job. I was nervous cutting into that line....but then 3 minutes later it was all plumbed up.

Lindsey makes the panel. they do a good job and it's pretty cheap besides.

Will it matter on which line is used for the signal? Someone said something about using one closest to the intake manifold. That would make sense as it would probably give the most responsive and accurate signal.
