That is a really good turbo- its the same specs as the turbo I ran. going bigger than an AR50 wont be very much fun to drive on a 2.5L (until boost finally hits, of course)... if you're just looking for big nubmers for the dyno to brag with, then get bigger, otherwise theres no prupose. You could hit 350rwhp easy with this turbo at 18psi with the mods to back it up, of course

The turbo is BRAND NEW - didn't get it to the dyno for testing but like Randy said, I agree with his performance prediction. Thx Randy for your input.
I'm confident that this turbo will have good spool up characteristics and easily output 22psi @ 74% efficiency.

It also has a polished compressor housing to add a little bling to your car.

I will warranty this turbo for the 11 months remaining on it's one year term.

For those interested, I can also get more of these turbos built in this configuration. I will sell them at this price ($875.00) w/out the polished compressor housing.

Vic what about oil management / oil restrictors and also are you considering assembling the nessasary fittings to clear the water pipe etc like Vitesse is now offering. Is it also water cooled?

From all the research I've done, a Garrett Gt3071r should really be the best all-around turbo for 2.5l motors shooting for ~350-450rwhp. It's rated at up to ~480hp, yet is very responsive. On top of that, you can usually pick them up for $1.1-1.3k new, which is cheap enough for a dual ball bearing new-tech turbo. I'm planning on eventually going with one of these.

Yeah & don't forget to factor in the cost of modification
to install the GT3071R.

Will good to see you on the board!! Hope we get to see each other soon too. I have decided and Im going to buy Pauermans turbo. I think that the 50 trim will be my best choice considering I live at 6000 ft. above sealevel too.

This is what Turbonetics is using for oil restriction / comtamination control:

I won't be including any adapter for the water pipe. I think there is enough info here on the list to get around water pipe fitment. I don't believe water pipe adapters are typically included by any vendors that sell turbos - I could be wrong.

Brett - got your PM. I'll get back to you in a bit.

Here's how I've mapped the load points of the 951. These points are calculated with a Ve 85% and RPM 6500 and 2.5L displacement of course.

Pr 2.0 = 34.32 lbs/min
Pr 2.2 = 37.75 lbs/min
Pr 2.4 = 41.88 lbs/min
Pr 2.6 = 44.62 lbs/min
Pr 2.8 = 48.05 lbs/min

I think the GT30R is much better match for the 951 - load points land in higher areas of efficiency throughout averaging @ 75%

Pauerman any idea if you could get some with 46 trim compressors? I was looking the same turbo with a 46 trim wheel.

I'm very sure that I can, but I'd stick with the 50 trim if I were you.

My turbo builder tells me that there is a backorder on the KKK replica hotsides from Turbonetics. I will call tomorrow and find out the availability for a 46 trim and a time frame on the hot sides.

Hi Pauerman,
Are you sure those points are correct ?
What rpm range did you base your plots on ?
