Default Awesome Saturday car event in ATL!

Hey everyone, the Lotus Club has invited me to attend some tours of local Le Mans race shops just north of Atlanta in Duluth. They asked if I knew some guys that would like to come along, and I thought of my rennlist buddies. Listen, you all are invited, you can bring friends, you can bring your Porsche too (you don't actually have to have a Porsche). Here is the invite below:

"Saturday 2/26 at Hypersport Motorsports . The event will start at 11:00 am and will include a tour of their race shop where they house the Daytona Prototype race car that is being campaigned this year in the Rolex series, as well as the 2004 Lotus Esprit race cars that entered in Grand Am Cup.

The tour starts at 11:00. From there we will take a nice 15 mile drive up Peachtree Industrial to see the new race shop that Kirt is using to do some Lotus project work, as well as a restoration project that they are undertaking to bring some life back into Alex Zenardi’s former Lemans Esprit lightweight car. This shop is called Radical South. They also house a couple Lola Prototype race cars that are entered in the American Lemans series.

From Kirts shop we will go to lunch at the Big Creek Tavern right around the corner from Kirts shop near Lake Lanier Island
Address:
Hypersport Racing
4540 S Berkeley Lake Rd
Atlanta, GA 30071
866 HYPER 04

Hope to see you all there, the weather will be perfect. This is a good chance to see and tour some REALLY cool race shops in Atlanta. Let me know if you have any questions! Thanks for your time, bye.

You keep scheduling these great events...and I'm not going to be there! waaahhhh. I've got the new gasket, but the !#@$#@@! fuel injector retainers aren't going to be here until Monday...unless they come in tomorrow by some miracle. If they do, I'll get the car buttoned up and be there.

Hey who's the guy with the modified Alfa spider? Flashback sticker on the rear fenders, yellow wheels, agressive stance and some big honkin' driving lights in the bumper. An early kamm-tail model, sweet car. I passed him on 285 the other day (in the BMW) and that car sounded really nice.

That is one of our sales guys here, his name is Alistair. He can drive that Alfa like no one's business! Its a fast car, he has some major cams and other race work done.

Mitch,
Who's the guy that drove the Ferrari last weekend, and what model was that?

I won't be there tomorrow, but looking forward to the next drive. Thx...

It's 11:42...somewhere about 15 miles away a bunch of folks are having a great time. Me? I'm corralling two kids, trying to clean the house before company shows up at 5 this afternoon. Oh yeah, I'm behind at work too and working on a customer project right now.

My car is in the garage in pieces, I have dishpan hands and I just bought GT4 and don't have time to play!

You all suck.

Bump. Whatever happened to the pictures? None? C'mon, help a guy out! Mitch, my car is back on the road so if you're getting another run together, count me in!
