What are the wheels in the picture at the second row and three down?

My preference would be either the turbo twists or these.

Question about those wheels, what car did those twists (on the car with the black hood) originally come with? And what size/offset would I need for an '87 951?

The turbo twists were oringinally on the 993TT. They should fit your car without any problems.

Beware there are quite a few variations on the turbo twist wheels.. there are the true factory hollow spoke lightweight ones, there are non-hollow spoke ones, there are Mille Miglia aftermarket ones. . etc etc

What's a normal price for 993TT original hollowspoke wheels used?

18x10 and 18x8 will fit on an '87 951? What about offsets? I really want to fill the wheel wells out.

Back to your original question:
I've been pulled over in my red N/A 4 times (owned it for 8 yrs). I've never been pulled in the black 951 (knock on wood.....ow, that hurt! ). I've had the 951 for 3 yrs.

I bought it!

http://www.foldforfree.com/944turbo

Wastegate spring is a bit tired though I think because the boost doesn't hold and sometimes I can't get over .5 bar. I think the spring on the wastegate is too weak to hold closed. And there are a few minor things that need to be addressed such as a cracked fog light and a rattle in the door and rear trunklid. Everthing is stock, the aribox looks great, even has the original blaupunkt pueblo cassette deck (must go!)

turns out to have had 95k miles on it and I paid less then the asking price.

Congrats, seemed like a very nice car when I looked at it. Get a new wastegate and some chips and it should make a huge difference.

Thanks. I meant to give you a call, but after flying in and getting everything done with the guy and the title, I didn't get on the road until after 6:30 and I had planned on leaving by 5 so I could get out of the city before dark. The drive home was a bit interesting and somewhat frustrating. I missed the split from I-40 to stay on 75 and fell in love once again with the yellow and horribly dim stock porsche headlights. I found myself driving up to street signs and checking them from the shoulder to make sure I knew where I was going. Ended up getting home around 11:30 last night and got up at 6 for work. This all after spending Monday night and Tuesday in Shreveport playing poker and driving home from there on Tuesday. I am beat!

but I have my second 951 and I am loving it!
