If you go with HOK black on the car, I don't think powder will ever match(not blue enough), plus the finish doesn't appear to have enough d.o.i(depth), although with more practice that may improve.

The car is already HOK Black. Its got a Dry Pearl in it, I don't even want to try to match that! I just want something to complement. I can increase the depth of the finish with an ample clear coat, which I havent done in this pic, b/c I wasn't sure I was going to keep the color.

Pics? What color pearl did you use? Is the pearl in the clear or base(just wondering)? HOK black is very deep (blue) but depending on the pearl maybe not. How does the wheel center look against the body color? My guess would be kinda brownish. If this is the case I think the wheels would look better silver unless you can find better black powder.

I cant show you the entire car, since its covered in dust on jack stands with both bumpers removed. Here is a peek:
The car appears black, except where hit by direct sunlight, where it will shimmer in this gunmetal-type pearl. Its an interesting effect.

I like the original finish , although it doesn't sound like that is what you want ot hear. IMO that black paint makes the wheels look cheap. and they look like really nice wheels. beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

I just painted my 17" 993 cupII wheels gray with a silver lip. The wheels have a very industrial look on my dark blue car. They look good for the track, I will post pics soon.
