Default Quick Chip Install Question

Hey guys,
I started to put in my chips tonight and can't seem to figure out how the computers come out. There are two bars that run vertically and one horizontally that holds the computers. How or what screwes need to come out in order for the computers to come out? Does the left (drivers side) bar come out or is it welded to the body. Do the plastic black screws just pop out or do they actually screw in and out?

Sorry for the stupid questions, but i've broken simple stuff like this before and it pisses me off to no end.

Undo the black plastic screws on top and the regular metal screws in the bottom corners. Then the whole frame assembly holding the computers comes out as a unit -- you have to jockey it around the carpet, etc. Then you can take the computers off the frame.

Nope, you need a flathead screwdriver to unscrew the two plastic tabs in the top corners.

Thanks guys, we tried unscrewing the black plastic tabs but they didn't want to budge. I'll try again today.

They may need some slight prying, since they're plastic and don't turn as easily as metal would.

Try putting some WD-40 in there and be sure to use a flathead screwdriver with a large, flat tip that won't score the plastic.

Be sure to use a really really big screwdriver, seriously. A normal size screwdriver will chew up the plastic and not get enough torque on it.

If you are often in that space you can do as I have done.
Throw away the sheet metal frame and skip the fastening of the wooden board, it stays in place just by the rug.
