REALLY stupid question, but what is the significance of all the little holes drilled into the sleeves? They look too small and irregular for coolant or oil flow; does it have something to do with controlling the shape of the bore as it expands or something?

1) The 2.5 sleeves will ‘only’ go to 104mm, the 3.0 sleeves will go to 106mm.
2) The holes at the end sleeves do line up with the coolant holes in the head gasket.
3) No valve notches are needed for stock compression/stock cam. They can be added if needed – but the less sharp edges the better (prevents hot spots the encourage detonation)
4) the Honda Darton Sleeves similar to these are run to past 30 lbs regularly….

I want to chime in with a "Very impressive!" With a new turbo engine nearly completed based on a new 3ltr block I was not aware of this option 2 months ago or I'd have probably gone this route too!
Pretty work Chris!

106mm, stock crank = 2.758 ltr
