i was thinking about it and i realized oil temp (even here in ct) is a good gauge to have. With the idea of DE days and track days with the PCA oil temp is going to be key for track and street use. A oil temp gauge is on the top of my list now.

You know, i haven't voted for anything just yet......
BTW, is there any brand of WB you are focused on? there would be a GB on the Zeitronix unit maybe in March-April.........it also would be capable of displaying a NB (check out their site www.zeitronix.com) and it would be more accurate than the conventional stock o2 sensor IIRC (hence me replacing the dead dash clock with the rennbay AF9 gauge).
Just my opinion, and yes im in the GB for that, whenever it is.......

Why get a EGT? you can't change, well easily the fuel level so why bother? Oil temp atleast lets you know if your running hot or not... EGT doesn't seem smart..

The issue of EGT was posted on page 1.
As i said, i (me) wouldn't go for EGT unless i get "into" the tuning.
Boost, Oil Temperature, AFR and Fuel Pressure is pretty much what one would need (my view)......then comes EGT, Air Intake Temperature etc.....

Narrow bands are no good, I agree with everyone else. If you want a light show then you got it, other than that it doesn't do anything. Miy a/f was so off and my narrowband said all was well. Thankful I was smart enough not to folow the gauge and got the car dynoed. Good luck, water and oil temp. always a good one.

Ian: A note on oil temperature gauges, you need to tap into the oil pan to install the sender. I still haven't recieved the gauge yet, but it comes with the sender, but i was told it is 1/8".......
I myself may have some issues installing one since no-one here actually has an oil temp gauge on their car. Finding and trusting a mechanic who would tap the pan would be sort of a challenge to me

The fear of having metal shreds inside the pan worries me........
This would need to be done with the pan installed, thinking of keeping the oil, drilling (though it would get messy) then drain the oil.........
Still unsure of what to do....car would need oil change and belt check-up in 3,000kms.......

They have a sandwich that you can buy that goes on the oil filter assembly. I am not sure if they make one for our cars, but I am sure you can have one made.
