Not an excuse when you consider the age & mileage.
In fact when I think about it I'm **** off.

If so, the hoses maybe old (as old as the car even) and/or the hose clamps may need some tightening down......(the PO replaced all the hoses 2 years ago, and look what i came across).

Did you check where the leak was coming from though?

Thanks Hos I'll check it. Oh, hoses are new as well
replaced together with radiator.
