Default Ignition Map

Anyone have specs on the stock ignition timing maps, both part throttle and full load they can post?

Load. Can be seen as an approximation of MAP. More correctly I guess it would be mass of air in the cylinder.

Since his talking about % I reckon NZ is talking about the y-axis?

My guess would be that the Y-axis is throttle position (TPS) and believe that it uses a different map above 60%.

No Laust, the DME doesnt have TPS info so that's impossible.
I'm quite positive it's what Bosch calls load which basically should be air flow/rpm.

Thomas, OK I primed my post with "guess" since I knew I was on thin ice, but how come the "load" only goes to 60% here?

Over %60 load would have to be one of the triggers for transitioning from the PT map to the full throttle map.

These are good questions. I know for a fact that the DME chip will use the "full load maps" if and only if throttle is more than 65 degrees open, according to factory manuals. The %s are definately load percents, I am currently trying to convert these numbers to psi but it is difficult. They appear to be arbitrary numbers derived from airflow (per afm) per rpm.

Yes I meant y axis.

FWIW my timing is much more aggressive than that map. But I cant tell the load and how to compare it.
