"Did you get your chips remapped? Did you retune it for the new turbo?"
No yet, but they are on the way. Also why I am only running about 16psi as the chips are mapped for 18psi.

"Todd, I am not bashing you or your turbo... I hope at least you understand that!"
Completly
Yea, the new chips that are on the way will be a little leaner down low and a little fatter up top.

Wouldn't mind that other MBC that someone posted that suppesedly offers mUCH quicker spool up. The phnumatic valve ones.
With the MAF and a little leaner a/f down low, how much sooner have some of you gotten boost to come on?
100revs, 300revs???

Actually, I guess the chip I have would not be that bad, at least for safety, as it is mapped for 18psi, AND the heat that goes along with 18psi on a stock turbo.
This turbo obvioulsy generates much less heat at the same psi of a stock turbo, therefore, not an issue about knock coming up as 18psi @5500rpm on this turbo has much less heat going into the motor then the old turbo at 18psi.
Or am I missing something??

Todd,
Check out this link: Turbosmart Gated Boost Controllers It would work nicely with your Guru wastegate (single port, right?).

PS even though you are running less bost, you will likely be pushing a lot more air at lower psi with the new turbo... so still lay off the boost till your AF's are sorted.

Some have noted reduced spool time with an EBC. But thats not a cheap option. Not knowing what your AF's are now, its hard to say what if any reduced spool you will get. What does Lindsey say it should be seeing 1 bar at? I would think it should be around 3,500 typically. Any higher and you are looking at a high HP very high revving application, which I dont think is your goal. Hence why I think the turbo is built for fast street and therefore mid 3K rpm spool.

Even before I`ve got, neighter have installed, my vitesse turbo I already love it!!

Toodk: Do you have a NB at lean??? never tune with it, but it's better to run slightly rich than running lean......
The NB would just give you an idea on how things are (like i said, never tune with it) use it as a safety warning like system (if you have one)....
Getting the chips and some fine tuning will definately help out.........
