I was hoping someone had made one! The mould setup would be very expensive. But it would be sweet to see whats going on!

I am a ricer! Pure German white rice. It would look pretty sweet and be functional, well a little functional, well not at all really lol. It would not be hard, just expensive!

I'm not aware of one, but I imagine it wouldn't be hard - just cut lexan in the shape of the front and use lighter flexible plastic to form the edges & silicone the parts together. Drill holes in line with the attachment bolt points and use long bolts & washers. Bam. It'd be kind of a lot of work for something you'd never see though 'cause of all the piping and stuff above it.

If anybody has access to a vacuform machine its possible to make multiple cheap copies without tooling. The downside being that most plastic used in vacuforming is relatively thin and quite a bit more flexible than molded plastic.

Another possibility for moulding lexan or plexiglass is to heat up some 1/8" thick material and bend it over a wooden mold of the existing belt cover. I've been thinking about this a bit, another nice item would be a 2-piece back cover so you don't have to remove the crank pulley to get to the water pump.

Its a shame I'm no longer in school and have access to model shop at IIT...

You must have friends at school still?

It it does not need to be very thick plastic like the stock, just enough to keep the stray bits and pieces away. Is there a way we can manage this project with someones expertise on the cheap? I am sure we could get a few sales from here...

I can see the whole thing pretty much. Though if I mount my coil pack where I want it will be less visible.

lol nice call.

Did you see my Samco hose? Its pretty sweet, 4mm ID and 2mm thickness and at least twice and "strong" using a squeeze test as the LR stuff. Its expensive though, around $10 per metre, but you only need 4-5 metres really. Depending how far you go with it. It may be running "bad" mmmkay, because of a leak in a hose somewhere... did you cable tie the hose? Check fior splits. Hell you know all this already...
