what is that light cutout at the top of the left most guage? it almost looks like the turn signal indicator? my car has the stock guage plate and I've never seen that before...maybe I'm just not paying attention.

Not sure I'd ever change from black faces but if I did it would have to be for some in brushed silver aluminum.

I agree... is there some form of kit that makes the lights in our stock speedo faces grow brighter? I remeber something like that on the forums before but the search button yeilded no results. Any one know a kit that does that or how someone can do it themselves?

Been there, done it. I scanned the dials, pasted in a brushed ally finish over the gauges, moved the redline, and added some graphics to match the a-pillar dials i added. The idiot lights are very very faint through the paper i used, and i was considering getting someone to screenprint some white blanks with the idiot lights left out (ie still clear) and then print over the top. That should sort things out. Maybe now I have some time to spare, i should re-do them.......?

Problem is, I used my ex-g/f's Mac to do all this, and i don't have the scan anymore! (note the word "ex"!)

As for the lights, there have been a million threads explaining how to recover the reflectors to get the brightness back. Alternatively get some new ones from ( i think) 944online. check out some threads also how to upgrade them to LED's. trust me, it works!
