HAHA, really its up to the owner as to what they do to their car, a car is really an expression of themselves. IMO I'm all about origionality, but I'll be the last person to flame someone for something they put on their car becasue they thought it was cool. I just cant stand the people that don't know what they are doing, like that man in the DVD "Gumball 3000" who had the rotary powered mustang with pistons and headers...

As for the 968 wing on a 944 turbo it was a stock item in 1990. There were only something like 48 North American 1990 944 Turbos all of which were sold in Canada and I believe they all of came with the 968 wing.

I was also thinking off dropping a Ford V-8 into it and calling it a "9Fordy4"

A vented nose panel are for the intercooler, not for the intake..

I vote for the "turbo S" license plate frame. There's someone selling them on ebay for about $8 in either black or chrome. Although, I personally don't see what would be wrong with adding an "S" to the turbo badge as long as it's tasteful.

You should do whatever makes you happy. If you put the "S" badge on, please don't go around telling people you have a Turbo S.

What would be wrong with telling people that my '89 951 is a Turbo S considering all '89s are completely "S" spec. It's not like I'm trying to put "Type R" or something on a car that's not up to that spec.

I know the '89 is the same spec as the Turbo S w/the exception of the radio, and you can easily spec a 2004 996 TT X50 to be identical to a 2005 996 TT S. But what's the point of saying it's an "S" if it in fact isn't? Badge engineering always seems a little silly to me.

IMHO, since Porsche didn't see fit to call it a Turbo S, why would you tell people--and I'm not saying you would, I only asked that you wouldn't--it's something that it isn't? Why not just be satisfied that you have an '89 944 Turbo?

Why do you even care what I think about it anyway? It's your car and your decision.
