I'm an automotive mechanical engineering student at Kettering (was general motors institute) and as part of that I'm a low level (read "engineering pee-on") at Nissan's test track in Arizona. I work in Powertrain Performance there.
And like Eyal I'm a slave to my cars.
Eyal, what school are you going to? Tell your brother we have a track day the 29th at Aroyo Seco.

Formerly fabrication engineer/prototype builder for Visteon auto systems. I mostly designed fuel systems and built prototype NASCAR radiators and oil coolers for C&R radiators, Vistoen supplies their cores. Now a auto repair shop owner/ diagnostic, driveability specialist. I miss my salary job but the shop was a family business and I'm the a fourth gen auto mechanic.

Self employed, privately contracted surgical assistant. I basically work as much or as little as I like, depending on my mood and need of cash flow. Leaves me more time to play with my car, among other things...

16hrs at ASU, current major Computer Systems Engineering
20hrs at Walgreens running a photo lab. I hate my job because I have to work with bull****ter idiots all the time, and I dont get paid well.

Only employee at an oil change place that doesn't get paid enough. Waiting about two years now on a job from a Porsche shop in town to become an mechanic but this is going to be last year waiting on anything in that field if I don't get it I'll have to find something else to do for my life. Thinking of products for the 944 type cars while at work and have some ideas but will probably never be able to produce them.
