here is the work in progress; spent all day painting. Here's the kicker: I mixed all my "spare paint". 6 somewhat gallons and it came out almost the same color my wife put in the bedroom....hmmm wonder is she has a mechanic - nevermind.

Talking

Heres how not to do it.

Take 15 years of stuff and move it all into a new house. We have a 3 car garage and only the wifes Mini fits.

The single side will be my workshop once I get all the stuff put away and the cabinets back on the walls.

For now i just move one thing aside to use the other and swap alot of 220 plugs.

Good thing I have a RV access next to house for the 59 Mini, 60 Hafflinger, 86 951, and trailer.

Drive On,

Here's a few of mine last weekend. The 951's got a cover on it right now - the head's in the shop being rebuilt. The other cars had been moved out for a party... the ping-pong table and grill got a lot of use that day!

Mine's an honest-to-god 1850's carriage house. We just replaced the doors and have to do some cosmetics. Still a lot of work left to go!

Ok, I am looking at this property that is 2 years old (basicallt new) it is 2 story, the top one is a 2 bedroom plus all the living stuff, and the bottom is a garage with office space etc. Would it be nuts to live in a commercial place like that? i think it would be sweet...

Where I turn my wrenches...

You can kindof see the progression of crap building up over the past year or two since I've moved in as you go down through them.

My favorite tool is this...

I'm in the process of upgrading the compressor from that wimpo 2 gal unit to a regular 30 gal unit. But the larger tank (I'm not sure of its volume) is the real star of the show. I haven't turned on my compressor in 6 months and I still have that puppy at 125psi. Someday if I get a big enough garage with beefy enough circuits, I'll rebuild the bigboy's compressor and use that. But until then, I'm gonna take advantage of it's tank.

THis is the clean side. Somehow I seem to spend most of my free time on this side. The second bay is full of all the materials and components for a laundry room rebuild that I started last July. Never seem to get much time for that, for which janet says

The lift is a new piece which a friend saved from being thrown out by the dealership where he works. Niiiiice!!!!

Its a Rotary low rise. Built like a tank, rated at 6000#. Beautiful thing!
Lifts to 22.5", which is about all the headroom in my little two-bay. Plenty of room to work underneath, and the main work areas front and rear are clear of the lift frame.
