Why not ask whoever you're going to buy the Super 75 from to give you reasons you should buy their product over the k29? Have them do the comparison for you and provide you with the data if they want the sale. If they can't or won't provide such numbers, I'd stick with the k29.

The only problem with that is every perfomance outfit will say thier prouduct.I just want the most power without the most boost.

Thomas: First of all, im sorry for not getting back to you about your turbocharger. I just have fears of it getting lag issues because it's a monster no plans for headwork or any sorts to fully use that turbocharger.

Now, every thought of a 60-1 HIFI with a #10 hotside???? that should make you happy since a few members here are running the #8 and getting 350whp+ on stock motors (head and block) and getting 1 bar at just over 3,000rpms........just a thought though.........

I know they're going to tell you it's the best, but ask "why". Have them provide you hard numbers - flow graphs, dyno comparisons, etc. They should have this stuff or if they don't, they should be willing to get it. Hell, you're potentially spending 1500 bucks (or more) on a part - I think you're entitled to a little footwork on their part.

Go for the super 75 witch is a 65mm. I will be testing a special 61 mm soon. If your thinking of a low boost high power setup then go with a 60-1 in a t04e bb T4 hotside. This turbo is one of the best low boost turbos around. Even though it's smaller than the above. It's peek efficiency and flow is under 20 psi of boost. Makes for a great pump gas setup. Don't use it if you decide to stay with the kkk hotsides.

I think someone else is using the super75 or similar on a 3.0 and have back pressure rations of well over 2:1. Just be very careful about that choice. Personally if you are going to pick a new turbo, try JME or SFR, they put a lot more time into development and testing.

The K29 is pretty good but if you're in doubt why
not good for the true GURU of all tubochargers.
Get a GT3040 or 3540. These have been develop
by Garrett with proper compressor maps & not
by vendors who comes up with some concuction
& make big claims about their performance.
It seems for now the only vendor who has a happy
following of customers with regards to turbo is Vitesse.
Having not seen or use one, I can't attest that it's
truely custom made to their specs as claimed.

Tom: Heads up, twin BB turbos are virtually impossible to repair. If they could be repaired, the costs could reach a price of a new turbocharger unless you trust the supplier who issued the dual BB.

IIRC: utilizes a 75# per minute 67mm compressor wheel packed in a TO4E not 65mm. i know that Innovative Turbo's dual BB can be rebuilt, not sure on the costs since im myself looking into that.

Yeah, the full GT3040 etc series would be by far the best option. Its a little expensive, but better than getting a mismatched turbo creating mad back pressure that no exhaust system will cure. I think their is a thread on that somewhere... This is a big decision, and you want to go to an option that does not have any known problems on the 3.0.

Hosrum,
How can you be sure of the specs ?
Do you know how much power a
75lbs per minute compressor wheel
can make ? Do you actually think that
such a compressor is needed for or
engines or for that matter is it a
suitable compressor to use ?

J: Take it easy..........

Im thinking Lindsey Racing Super 75 turbocharger here, and i copied and pasted what their specs are.........

It seems Thomas is asking about the Garrett Super 75 instead? (is there one?)

And yes, i have a rough idea of what a 75/min compressor wheel could make in terms of power. Hence the thought of Thomas going for a 3.0L engine, he's looking for good power without too much boost............again which Super 75 (if there is another) are we talking about before we start talking about power capabilities, compressor maps and so on.

Thomas: Sounds like your devoted to the 3k turbochargers

Hey, didn't you purchase it from Powerhaus? why don't you see how that would work on a 3.0L by contatcing them since they have some serious projects that use the K29???
