Hey guys I need new pads and I was wondering what you guys would recommend. My car is mainly for street use with some autocross thrown in. Eventually I want to track the car a bit. Let me know some of the pros and cons for both. I already have the bilstein cup suspension so I do not mind sacraficing some ride quality for better performance! Also what are some of the better places to purchase these. I know Paragon and Lindsey have them. Any others that are better? Thanks in advance guys

For street use, the stock Pagid pads can't be beat.

I hear the orange are very effective on the track, but that they tend to eat up the rotors.

I have used and loved my Remsa Gold pads with Blandi rotors. The Porsche/ Audi mech. that I use sells these pads and rotors. There are alot of Porsche private teams picking up these rotor/pad combo. I have them on my Audi Turbo Quatto and love the performance and low dust. I have done some Autocrossing (Pro-Solo II) and I did not notice any fade with this combo. hey pcar 944 where do you live? I've been going to randy ever since I bought my car and have known him for years(my father found him about 10 years ago) He told me about the remsa pads, but I wanted something a little more performance oriented.

We use Pagid Orange for full race track applications - they take a few laps to heat up, and work properly, so I would not recommend them for street use, nor for autox. Do they have Pagid Blue's in the US - these work pretty quickly (do not need to heat up a lot). BTW for track use, make sure you have air ducts to your discs (makes a big difference).

Could you not use Blue's on the street and autox, and Orange for the track? Porsche pads are very easy to change.

The blue tend to squeel alot on the street, but works fine for racing. I would put them along side Ferodo DS3000.

I have Pagid Orange pads on the 951. Yes they do have to heat up, and yes they squeal like a pig, and yes, they are dusty as hell, but yes, they stop you like mad.

I have blacks on my car and they do squeal when cold but, when they heat up they work great and the stopping power is amazing.

Can someone tell me the difference between black and orange? cause I was told black was track and orange was partial.

I doubt that you have Padgid black's , on the street you would have to literally ride the brakes constantly to get any heat in them and they cool down pretty fast.
Easy to check , takes about five minutes to take a pad out .

Padgid orange are track worthy and can be used on the street if you do not mind the noise.
Padgid blue is a high end street pad and is NOT a track pad. If I remember correctly the 968 turbo came with the orange pads.

Pagid black is maybee something between orange and blue? I got the pagid black. Are going to use those at the track, and have som mintex c-tech that I`ll trie at autox and street driving.

Yes, for us, the Oranges only work when they squeal very loudly.

Any experience with other racing pads? The Ferodo's dusted even more than the Oranges.

BTW Under the same circumstances, the Pagid Blues caught fire when we pitted, maybe cannot stand the heat as well as the Oranges.

The Pagid Fast Road series are pretty good unless you are chasing mountain passes.
