Tommo, the effective weight may be around 14kg because of the dimensions. But I cant speak for AIR obviously. Personally its hundreds cheaper than making one here and its proven...

I have the splitter and it was simple to install and needed no modifications. I also went 194mph with it and I believe it helped with downforce. I only feel this way because I had another previous one on the car that wasn't mounted correctly and at 180mph, it ripped off and I ran over it so I know the wind was pushing on it hard.

Any progress? I havent got a response from AIR yet either... Dont they replay emails? Maybee I`m just used to the quick response from people like Dave LR, John Vitesse etc. Those answer the email, almost before I`ve sent it!!

Would like to know the shipping cost to norway. There`s maybee one more who want to participate in the AIR GB! Will let u know about that one!

Has your gearing been changed at all? Or was it just the hp of your car that took you to 194 mph?

Yeah I have not heard back either from the email... I its simply too difficult to organise a GB of tis nature from here... what was the method last tiime? Did all the splitters go to one address and then that guy shipped them out? Or did they all go out from AIR to various people and they were responsible for the shipping out?

badass951, I have a stock 951 tranny. I wanted to get a taller fifth gear from a normally aspirated 944. That would put me over 200 and in the record books. I'm telling you that cause you seem to have a ton of upgrades on your car and you may want to think about that as well. Sorry about the highjack guys.

Andrew,

Someone in rennlist made a list, gave it to AIR, and as each person sent in thier money, AIR sent out the splitters to the people who paid.

EDIT: No.. that was for the 968 mirrors from Sunset, sorry.

With AIR with just phoned them and mentioned the rennlist group buy, so we got quoted $200 per splitter instead of $250.

Could we get a price quote on the CF one. Everything that go's on my car now is going to have to be weighed. I dont want to put anymore weight on their than I have to.

Also andrew would we get a discount if we bought the nose panel and the splitter together. Or rather could I get a further discount. I am deffenetly interested but, I wont be able to do it in feb(got too many logs on the fire as it is)
I could prolly do it say.....mid to late march though. I am really interested and I think it will look good on the car. If you guys do it too early for me then I will prolly just wait till the next GB. I dont want to pay retail ever.

John, the fibreglass air splitter will actually be about 2 or 3 lbs lighter than the polyurethane batwing it replaces. I am willing to be the AIR does not autoclave the carbon fibre wing, and therefore you are paying twice as much for virtually the same weight. Just go for the fibreglass, unless you specifically want the CF look.
