Default toyo T1-S

I've liked Toyo T1-S on my 993 for street and some DE.
they're good in the wet as well.
I'm on my second set.

I intend to use Toyo RA1 and/or Michelin Pilot Sport Cup for future DE's.

I am extremely happy with my Yoko ES 100s. I have had proxes FZ4 junk, ecsta supra 712 pure junk crappiest tire I have ever had, S02s nice tire but pricey, and pilot sports not to impressive. That is my opinion, good luck. The only thing with the yokos is that they are very pressure sensitive. Just my $.02

I'm kinda leaning toward the Toyos - then I see that they've updated the T1-S to a T1-R...
Anybody tried these?

Matt H - what's the story on these new Toyos?

I have been leaning towards the T1-S's for replacement tires on the Callaway, and I would also like to hear the story on the T1-R's.

I think I'm going to try running the Toyo RA-1s and use them for both street and track events. I thought seriously about the Fuzions, but running the RA-1s will let me wait longer on buying a second set of wheels for now.

Take a look at the URL provided, it is from Toyos UK site. Those are not available in the US at this time and to be honest, I havent heard from anything from Toyo that says they are going to be. Just because you see a tire doesnt mean that the plan is the same for all parts of the world. The T1-R may not be a replacement in the US for another 2 years, no way of knowing (unless you work for Toyo's product development).

One thing to consider with the T1-S is that they do have a tendency to cup and become noisy.

Love my Yokohama AVS Sport's on my 951. The Nitto 555's on my BMW are incredible too. I'm not sure the Nitto's come in the right size for the 951.

I wish Bridgestone still made the RE730's. IMO one of the best street tires (for the money) you can buy that can both do street and track duty.

Now the worst tires that I have ever bought are the Kumo Supra 712's. YUCK never again and the problem is they will not wear out so I can buy new ones....

I have been using Goodyear Eagle F1s for a while, strange tread patern but give damn good grip and last well compared to the Yokohamas I had one before.

S-03's on the 951. When it's time to replace them I will go back to the same tire. Very well mannered in the rain, sticks like glue in the dry, and they look awesome as well (yes I know - that's just a side benefit )

The problem with the RE730 was that once they were a little worn they were as loud as a freight train. The cupping was a problem and that led to the noise. Try the RE750, I prefer that tire all around.

Fuzion is a new line from Bridgestone/Firestone that is aimed specifically at the low price/import market.
