Default Chip - what brand are these?

Just open up my KLR/DME and found these chips. Anyone know anything about them? The KLR says: 300PS. You can see yourself. DME 28pin.

(dont bother about the black silicon at the chips, they have been used to help the chip stick to the bracket)

Sorry, don't know anything about them.

The DME Chip is 27C512. That is 8 times larger than the standard 2764 on the late 951 DME. Could you show a picture how the chip is connected to the DME board?

8 times larger? What do you mean? Size? It got 28pin like it should... (its a 89 car)

Heres the picture of the DME-chip connected to the board. Again, ignore the black silicon.. Dont know why previous owner did that!

He means as far as memory size...not physical size.
Someone correct me...but all they have to do is to write the first 8k of the chip
and blank the rest and it will work.

The only way to get additional information is to read & analyse the content of the chips. It is no miracle to burn chips and to glue a lable on it. If you want to know what they are doing, you have to look into them...
