We are in the final process of offering 3 full exhaust systems....... we looked at using the Borla exhaust and we decided not to. They are poorly constructed and the design has strong potential for a blow out! The seams are flat welded and not rolled..... the welds are not that great and the finish is dull.
We also looked at Flowmaster and the build quality was even worse.... plus they are made of aluminized steel, not stainless! The QC who let these out of the door should be ashamed.
We also looked at a few independent manufactures and found none that we great. One or two were reasonable but they charged way to much to even consider using them.
We opted to use Magnaflow..... they are full stainless, nice solid welds and the seems are folded and thick. The sound is deep and not ricer. The price is comparable to the Borla, Flowmaster and the independent manufacturers.
Plus the tips are very factory looking and complement our cars very well. They are also rounded and folded so are very rugged. These are also full Stainless.
The other advantage of Magnaflow.... is they offer a 3inch street (a little more restrictive but more quiet) a 3inch Race (less restrictive but a little louder) and then a 4inch Race (this bad boy flows!..... also deep and very robust but obviously is the loudest)
We will be offering all three of these systems......... and yes, we are making a full 4 inch test pipe and exhaust. We have access to 3 of the Canadian Cup cars and have basically made our own version of the Cup exhausts. The turbo down pipe and the crossover will be 3 inches.
We are in the final stages of testing and then all 3 options will be available.
Plus we have some very unique options for these exhausts...... cant say to much right now but I will offer more info soon!
Cheers,
Paul R

The Pro Xs is designed for compact cars who can utilize a 2.5" or smaller muffler.Stick to the XR-1.The XR-1 sounds great and you can get it polished if you want the bling bling factor. We have yet to have a problem with the XR-1 and we have been using it for about 5 years.

I'll vouch for SFR's Borla cat-back. The welds were perfect and installation was a breeze. The tip looks stock and the sound with the cat still installed is similar to but a little louder than my 944 stock exhaust, definitely not rice.

Thanks for the info guys, I had a Magnaflow on my 924 and it sounded nice. I want a more agressive sound WFO but still keep the level down when cruising.

also, i just noticed that borla doesn't provide a full 3" in-out muffler, the biggest they have is 2.5". i still think that edelbrock is not only the best value, but also the best sound for a free-flow muffler.
plus they come with a lifetime warranty, you can't beat that.
