Default I almost had a heart attack, Porsche spare tools save the day

Well I just had a huge scare! I've had my 87 951 for 2-3 weeks, and today as I was driving down the freeway today, I heard a loud *bang* and then a loud fluttering noise coming from the engine compartment. The engine was stumbling a bit and had lost a bit of power. First thing on my mind was that somehow the HG had gone, even though there was no smoke, and the second was that I had snapped a belt or something. Well, I pulled over as soon as I could and popped the hood. After a few seconds of looking around, I felt a substantial amount of air puffing at my hand. Looking down I saw that one of the spark plugs had popped loose. *whew* A _much_ cheaper fix. Luckily the PO left the spare tool set in the car and that included a spark plug socket. What felt like a disaster at first turned out to be a minor convenience. *sigh of relief*

Damn! Thats nice, how in the hell do you think that happened? I cant imagine the spark plug being loose, that would have been QUITE noticable.

Yeah I had some strange idle after a boost run. It turned out to be a blown off hard pipe. I have always wanted to have that happen, I was truely proud of my turbo.
