Hmm it seems to reduce in size. Its not a full 4" system is it?... its just a 4" cat back from the looks of things unless I am missing something.

RolexNJ let me know when the car gets back from LR. I would love to have a look at her if you don't mind.

You got it pal. I will have it by spring. I am DYING to get it bad! Like I said, if you visit their web site, you can see what they did to it..... so far. But we have some more "goodies" we are going to do

I am in north, NJ too. I'm not to sure where you are in NY? Is that up near Watkins Glen or somewhere else in NY. I never heard of that town.

andrew is right. the lindsey 4" system is NOT a true 4" pipe. the exhaust tip is 4" but the downpipe connection tapers to 3". it's mainly for better sound, not for better performance (over the full 3").

from;
http://www.lindseyracing.com/Merchan...51EXHAUST4INCH

"This exhaust is made from aluminized coated steel exhaust tubing and grows along it's length from 3", to 3.5", to a full 4" in diameter."

One of my homes is about 30 min north of Port Jervis NY In Narrowsburg. The other is in the Bronx. Either way I don't think I'm more than 45 min from northern NJ. What town are you in?

A 4" DP will not fit in the stock location. By DP I mean the short section from the back of the turbo.

I think a true 4" exhaust requires that you cut into the fire wall so it can be installed. I think that the largest down pipe is somewhere around 3". Without any cutting involved. I am more interested in seeing the 4 to 1 header. Did you go with the T4 housing?

FYI Powerwerks will soon have a full 4" system bolt on looking at their comments on the other thread. People should stop calling it a 4" system.

Shorty, check the Powerwerks thread, see a picture of their v-band downpipe...

It looks very nice.

jimbo1111:

I know exactly where Port Jervis, NY is! It's a beautiful ride there. It takes me about 1 hr to get there. It's all open roads and mountains. We definately could hook up when I get my car back. I am in Morristown. I'm sure you heard of it?

Also, I just bought the SFR 4-1 header. It's going to be installed soon but is being thermal coated right now. Do me a favor Jimbo, PM instead. This thread was orginally posted by Driv200mph, and I feel like we are hi-jacking it. I've been waiting for him to comment on my postings, but he hasnt yet. If you PM me, I'll talk there instead and answer any specific questions ya have.

Shorty: No, I didnt pay extra for it.

Why would you want a full 4" down pipe? Are there turbos that have a 4" outlet on the turbine? The turbine housing of the turbo in my avatar barely fits on the engine and its outlet is about 2.875". I would think having a large diameter increase/step, would be a bad idea (large drop in gas velocity, hence pressure increase). The whole concept of having an exhaust with a few diameter increases over its length, was discussed in detail about a year and a half ago.

I apologise if this was aready brought up, I just skimmed through this tread.
