Default Should I add a 924 GT hood scoop?

I have been thinking about this for a while, but are not sure if I should go ahead... comments?

I am thinking its 30% functional (letting cool air in at speed and hot out at stand still), and 70% asthetic. Based on the fact that it wont be that effective at cooling given hot air at speed still gets relatively trapped.

Cheers.

Where on the hood would you mount it? Standard 924 Carrera GT location?

Hey stop reading my mind, I want to do this too!

I asked some friends of mine, and got mixed responces. That might come up here too... One or two said it looked good, others said it looked uh "unsophisticated" was I think one term used

I guess I don't really think it looks like it fits. Even on the 924, I don't think it looks like it fits, but it serves an important function, feeding the intercooler with fresh air. To each his own though.

Its a big call I know! Hard to say unless you can see it in real life. But the ship has sailed by then!

There really is no need for it. And it would give more turbulance and bad aerodynamics..

What you need to do is add stickers, that will give you massive hp gains.

NO, DON'T!

In stead you should sell the hood scoop to me because that is the only part missing for the conversion of my standard 924 to a Carrera GT.

Performance wise I don't think it's a good idea on the 951.
You want to maximize the heat in the headers, this will cool them. But it seems like a good idea to make your new coated headers worthless
