chapstic951: Since the turbo is out, go for new a/o seperator seals and the rear balance shaft seal as well (this needs the front rollers to come off).......

Funny you would say that. My dad, the Vette guy, asked me the same thing. I do not want this to be more of project than my budget can handle. I am getting married in 2-months so funds are limited (I am lucky to get away with what I have). With that said, I am trying to sneek in a 3-piece cross memeber and a 2-piece x-over pipe to make the process eaiser for the next go round.

Forgot to add, are you re-using the lifters or new ones? either case, you need to soak them in oil for a few hours before installing them back in, if you are using your old ones, hope you numbered which ones go where

Here is what I have to put in at this point. All new front, top and bottom gaskets and seals. All new water lines and vaccume lines with a fresh complement of SS hose clamps (120 assorted hose clamps from ebay $33). A "new to me" J-boot, replacement spring kit for my rigth rear caliper, oil sepator seals, venturi delete kit, front wheel bearings and front sway bar bushings. Also have a new Autometer boost gauge and A/F meter to mount.

What left to be ordered? Balance, cam, AC and PS belts. The water pump is only 3K miles old. New PS lines. My hope is to get the x-over pipe and x-member I mentioned earlier.

My plans are to send off the cylinder head to be rebuilt. I am highly considereing a Stage I done by LR. Also planning on detailing the engine. I am either going to send the calipers, intake, cam cover, intercooler pipes etc to be powdercoated or use VHT paint if the cost is too much.

I think that is it!!!
