Total911 - New Porsche Magazine launches Spring 2005
Total911 Magazine - nothing else matters
Launches Spring 2005
Total911 Magazine is the culmination of a lifetime's passion for the Porsche 911. Ardent Rennlisters Rob Mugglestone, John Francas and Editor, Phil Raby, have created Total911 to provide the Porsche community with the magazine you have been waiting for.
As the title suggests, Total911 is 100% committed to the design icon that is the 911 - from the first to the latest - in as much detail as you can handle.
Total911 will feature photography to blow your mind - the photos we wish we could all take; if only we have the talent, the cars and the locations; above all though, we'll give them space to do them justice.
In-depth articles written by knowledgable, authoratative contributors. No more thin, shallow features about cars that 'corner on rails' or 'look fast standing still'; a readership focused on one model will expect, and be delighted by, articles which go beyond any other 911 feature you'll have read before.
Total911 will be truly 'borderless'. Cars and drivers from the US, Europe and the UK will all feature in the magazine, bringing the best 911's the world has to offer to our readership.
We hope you are as excited about the prospect of Total911 as we are. We are proud sponsors of Rennlist and thought you guys would appreciate hearing about this first.
We are offering a 10% discount to Rennlist members on early subscriptions. If you want to know more, go to www.total911.com .
We'll be adding some preview features to the website soon, some downloadable scrensavers of our best photos and more, so keep checking in now and again for updates.
Lastly, if you have any queries about advertising in Total911, fancy yourself as a contributor or have some fantastic photos you'd like us to feature, drop any of us an e-mail.
Oh, and Merry Xmas!!!
John, Phil and Rob.

Not to be an *******....
But it seems well.... I guess "rude", "*******", maybe even "clueless" to advertise a 100% 911 magazine in the 924/928/944/951/968 area of Rennlist... When one of the things that annoys a lot of people here is the perceived ""greatness"" of the Porsche Beetle, er 911, and the fact that so few magazine cater to or have frotn engine content, and the whole "911 is the only Porsche", the 911 "aura" etc so on so forth, all the rest of that bullsh*t.
But whatever. Good luck in the venture.

I would subscribe if at least the magazine had a 10% water cooled(944/951/968) articles but a total 911 content? Not interested thanks.

Hey Total - I am going to go out on a limb here and say it might be a good idea for you to get a PR person. Being that you are 2 fr 2 here.
My wife is the PR manager for Taunton Press - and she is going to laugh her *** off when I show her this, dude.

GEEEEEEEEE wonder why NONE of the established magazines are 911 exclusive ...maybe because they are not wet behind the ears.
I'm sure I'll read it anyway, but you guys are magazine rookies.
Probably 50% of your readership will ASPIRING 911 owners say...18-35 - guess where they are??????
Uh-Oh...wait, do I dare look to see if you had the ***** to put this in the regular 944 forum, also???

How do you think it would go over if I went to the 911 forums and posted an annoucement about a Total944 magazine?
I think the reception would be even colder...

Funny thing is, if you look on the 911 board, there are NO responses yet......
Not until you get to teh GT2, and turbo forums are there any replies. Even then no more than a couple....

Tough crowd, you 944 guys. We felt that there was enough 924/944/Boxster/Cayenne coverage in 911 & PW. We also feel GTPP doesn't offer the depth and quality we expected as readers. As for the US magazines, we found the volume of b&w adverts overwhelming - it takes a while to find the feature articles.
I decided to post our announcement on all the boards on this forum as, for every angry 924/944/928/968 owner, there's probably a few who also enjoy reading about 911s.
Apologies if my post ruined you Xmas!!
