Default Under The Front Fender

There's this plastic piece under the front fender of my 951. It's almost like a skid plate to deflect rocks and debris from hitting the under side of the engine. Hopefully you guys know the piece that I'm talking about. Anyways, I need a new one. Does anyone body have access to an old one, or a used or, or know a place in the Massachusetts area I can get one?

Do you refer to the batwing? It's the black plastic piece that connetcs to the front bumper and extends under the front of the engine.

If no one is selling one here, look for www.partsheaven.com or www.oklahomaforeign.com

They are Porsche dismantlers and will likely have some in decent condition.

BOL and welcome to Rennlist.

I call it the splash guard, although I don't know the technical name.

I know its freekin $550 from the dealer, but I bet you can get a used one for a few bucks if you keep yours eyes open...
I need one as well (SF bay area)

The big one the goes under the bumper is generally called the "batwing" and they go for $100 used in "ok" condition to $300 used in "mint" condition to $500+ new.

The two other ones go behind it are generally called the splash pans. The front one with all the vents in it is made from polyurethane (it's black) and the rearmost one that goes under the oil pan is made from metal. (aluminium) They cost between $200 - $300 each new from the dealer IIRC.

IF you buy the metal one in used condition, make sure it still has the little tabs on the sides so you can mount it to the car, otherwise you cannot mount it properly and it will be hanging down, and will get caught on stuff when you reverse.
