Sweet Lutjen
Are you going to use separate hall sensors on custom trigger wheels at the rear?

Yup - I am going to use THEIR sensors, so that even non-abs cars can use it. It is only 168 pounds extra for the sensor kit.
That unit is way too cool to pass up. I am going to extend my launch button up to the radio buttom on my suede Momo, so I can even pretend I am Alonso

But while the Racelogic is quite superior I'd probably get the DTA Fast P8Pro stand-alone for only a bit more $. It can do dry/wet traction control, launch control, ALS etc.

can the racelogic do anything that a good standalone can't do? i was thinking (well dreaming) of a motec m600 setup, which has traction control etc too as one of the modules.

Thanks guys, Let me see if I can address everything I've heard here. Racelogic. Is that along the same lines as the Motec system? If so that would be my next step if I don't sell it. Which I'm not in a hurry to sell. I was going to sell it for extra capital to open a couple of new offices for my business but now I think I have it so no hurry. I have no doubt the 968 tranny can handle my car unless they are built poorly compared to ours. I have a stock 951 tranny hooked up and no problems whatsoever. As far as I know the gearing wasn't necessarily taller in the 968. They ended up being fairly close to a 951 and you don't have the issue of the speedo not hooking up properly. If they are taller, I will seriously consider it and making the speedo work. Then go with the Motec as powerhaus said I will easily be over 500 whp and close to 600 crank hp. 200 mph, here we come. Maybe I just need a more serious clutch than I have to hold together longer and leave it at that. gmsracing, you ever make it out my way to vegas, the ride and lunch is on me. Thanks for all your input guys. Powerhaus is itching to see whether I sell it or not. They want to get me reliably into the high tens, low elevens and over 200mph. If special tool can get his power off of his bolt ons, the goals of Powerhaus and I should be a cinch. That's great power special tool. Thanks for all your feedback guys. Any thing else you want to add, I'd love to hear, uh read.

somebody (danno i think) once posted a chart comparing the 951 and 968 gear ratios. iirc, at the top end, 968 6th ~ 951 5th and 968 5th ~ 4th. the gain (which would prolly be a negative on your beast) was in the lower gears, where 2nd and 3rd and 4th roughly spanned 2-3 in the 951. but it was a long time ago.

Edit: found it, it was fast951 (john@vitesse). he has some comments:

Wow, that was a great chart. I am definitely sticking with my tranny. Maybe a taller fifth gear. I would love a taller first too as mine is just a waste but I don't think that's available.
