I got confused from the tech edge WB, their site was a bit complicated for me, does this WB kit include datalogging for boost? how much?

I know--that website is crazy. If you click on "order" it takes you to the pricing page. The kit looks like it's about US$200 oraround US$400 and up for the built unit, adding more for more accesories, of course. Maybe closer to $500 for all the stuff you'd need.

Not sure about the boost logging--I haven't paid much attention to any of the logging features since I use Macs and I'm assuming all the software is for Windows. Although Tech Edge does have a link to Palm software so I guess I could pick up a cheap Palm Pilot.

I was considering the Zeitronix unit for the value. And it also records the boost, RPM, A/F, TPS etc. Most units out there do not have the boost logging capability, but the display of the Zetronix is just....bad (my opinion) and i would like an a/f display to be perminantly showing

tech edge has 2 user inputs, so u could use one of these for boost.
for each user input you can enter the voltage to value mapping (as a series of voltage, value pairs)
By downloading and running up the windows software u will get a good picture of tech edge capabilities.

What is the cost on the kit you have? ALL kits come with the display gauge/software/Sensor etc correct?

I got the version 2B0 unit, cable & LD01B (display), but no sensor, AUSSIE$570 as listed on http://www.wbo2.com/order.htm
Danno sent me a 7057 sensor for about 40 US.
Also the windows software is 3rd party and cost $US20 to register and get latest version & full feature set.
The aussie has been strengthening against US dollar at least lately, so check that out.

So you got the built unit? If you got the DIY version, I'd love to know how hard the thing is to build.

Or anybody else out there who's built one? It looks a little intense but I'm sure I could do it--of course, it probably wouldn't work the first time. So then I'd have to go back in, re-solder everything, maybe move a resistor or two, bang it on the table a few times to kick start it, and then maybe it would only partially work, so I'd go back in, put everything back how it was the first time only to have it catch on fire and, well, you get the idea!

Super - 45 minutes man. No dong it twce. Pull the o2 up by the wastegate into the batt box and into the cab. Follow directions - solder and shrink tube.
The biggest chore is welding the bung on the exhaust.

Hosrom - I told you that there is an in car display available for the Zeitronix (how many times did we review this in PM, dude?)
Also - what specifically do you find "bad" about the Zeitronix display??

Hey Guys,
I went through the costing of the Techedge 2AO kit price.
By the time you add everything together it'll cost about USD
320-340. Better buy the PLX M300 or the Zeitronix wideband.

It took me about 3 days of building, but I am also somewhat versed in electronics. If you don't know the difference from a 5% and 10% resistor, diode, cap, or how to read their values, order the pre-built kit. This is not a beginners kit.

With the 4 data inputs on the Tech Edge units, you can log whatever you need. As said above, you can log them without the laptop in the car and compile the info later. A few other added bonus is that you can use the Cheapo Bosch 5 wire series of sensors and the website has a ton of into on how it works and how to make it work specifically for you.
