Default Oil sending unit trouble....again!

Ok so I had a leaking sending unit, and replaced it. Everything was fine for a few days and this morning there was anl oil spot on the garage floor under that area. I didn't get a chance to lift the car up because the wife was taking the car to work. could it be the oil sender again??
The only thing I did wrong was I switched the electric wires so my gauge needle is peged, but I thought I would change it when I change my oil before storage next weekend.
What else is there in that area that might be leaking??
Any comments appreciated
Rami

Lots of things in that area can leak.

The crush rings can be hard to get to seal sometimes. Another thought was that the two oil lines could have been disturbed and are now leaking. It could even be the oil filter itself. Lower balance shaft seals are another potential culprit.

Is it engine oil, or red transmission fluid?

a leak from the gasket around the oil filter adapter can drip off the oil sender and make it look like the sender is leaking. Mine housing/gasket was leaking from the uppermost corner and making a big mess.
