Hos, I tried to take pictures, but I have a cheap camera. I could not get any pictures worth posting. They were either all light from the flash, or all dark without it. These are good for US legal lights in my opinion, but you may be able to use more wattage legally where you are, no?

Tom:

I agree. I have Silver Stars in both of my cars, and at $17.00 each you just can't beat them.

From what the manufacturers claim, the hot bulbs (around 4000K) don't last nearly as long as normal bulbs (2000K).

Anyone have any experience with life of the new white (4000K) bulbs?

Bought Silverstars for my wife's Odyssey when one of her bulbs went out. On a lark I installed one in the side that the bulb was out and drove to a dark road near the house. My honest assessment is that the light was much whiter but the illumination was no different from the Ody's yellow OEM bulb. It didn't illuminate any farther or wider than the original. Personally, I don't give a crap about the color of the bulb I was just hoping for a little more safety and for me the $40 I spent on the two Sylverstars wasn't worth it.

Your results may vary.

A fool and his money are soon parted so don't come back telling me how $hitty they were and you just wasted 50 bucks.

And see that red lettering? Wonder why they won't ship 'em outside of the USA? They are an international company owned by Osram so it is not like they can't figure out how to fill out a customs form and ship out.

Well, I've been called worse than fool. I applaud your passion for headlights.

heck no legal issues here when it comes to cars, even the smog/emissions here are crap (passed with flying colors with major oil leaks, no CAT and running rich to some point with my NA).

I used to the SilverStars for a few couple of weeks before buying bulbs from Iceshark. My experience is the same as Elssuu. The color was more white but the illumination wasn't much of an improvement.

They were nowhere near what they are advertising.

Just my experience.
