The DME in your car is not from an 86. You could buy a DME from the correct year OR you could buy a set of chips for an 88TS-90 Turbo.

Actually he should just buy a chip for an 88 non S 951. It is 28 pin and has K26/6.

Magown, are you sure? The non-S 88 I was looking at did not have a 28 pin DME. If they ALL should then your recommendation would be correct.

It was a model year change over. All 88's mfg after August or Sept 1987( I cant remember which) had the 28 pin Chips....'S' and Non 'S'. Mine is an early 88 and it has the 24 pin.

Matt, just curious as to how you know it didn't have the 28 pin chip. Did you open up the box? I have 3 DME's all have the same part number yet one is a 28 pin and the other two are 24 pin.

Just get the 28-pin DME chip for non S. Or just convert the 24-pin DME to 28-pin .. (It's doable, and no it's not a service I offer).
