Peckster. The turbo, is simply a full Garett 60-1 Hi-Fi, with a 0.58a/r p trim turbine. You can pick one up from any turbo dude.

As I stated previously,I might go for a different turbo , this winter......trying to lower my spoolup and increase my torque down low.

Admit it, alot of the engine componenets are from SFR! LOL. Actually we installed that turbo on Tony G's car along with our stage 2 header, full 3" exhaust,Tial 46mm wastegate and a few other things.Milledge did the head and cam.You cannot just install that turbo on a stock car becasue the hotside is true Garrett so it wont bolt-up to the crossover or the downpipe.

On another note, there is a discrepency with your dyno chart.Torque and horsepower always cross at 5250 and on your chart this is not the case.I suspect that they might have had a problem with their tach reading.

Hey what kind of pistons are you using? 101mm isn't a stock size is it? Is the engine sleeved?

Turbonetics has a "60-1 HI-FI" found here . Does Garrett have one with the same name?

The HP and TQ graphs do not cross at 5252 rpm, since their scales are different.

Tim - the sheet is offset. If the scales are even for hp and torque, it looks like they cross at 5250.

60-1 HIFI is a Turbonetics turbo... not Garrett.

Excellent results my swiss. Tim's stage 2 header and turbo combo kicks a$$. Looking over tony's old graff the chips seem to make a good bit of difference as well. Why would you want to change the turbo? The 60-1 happens to be John Millages favorite turbo. Matched up with the Millage head and tims header the top end Screams. I would change out the intercooler before anything else. Just as Tony was going to do before he sold it.

Turbo Tim. There is nothing to admit.....you made an excellent exhaust sytem, that makes good power.

ciwgg66. The pistons are from Tom Charlesworth (KLA Industries), in OK. They are forged aluminum and coated for the alusil bore. They are available in 100.5mm or 101mm.

Jimbo1111. The car already surpasses my needs (for now...or the next month), in terms of usable power. But I could certainly benefit from more torque down low, and faster spool up (3500rpm instead of 4000rpm for full boost)

As for the intercooler, I just don't see the need for one right now. My egt's are below1550, I'm making good power from 14psi to 18psi, and the intercooler pipes are quite cool.

Duke. Thanks. I would probably make around 440 to 450 rwhp at 20psi, unless the intercooler does become a problem at that level. But the turbo can take it.

Thats weird John told me it was a shocking turbo for the 951 becuase of the high back pressure it creates.

Pretty awesome numbers for a little over 2.5liters

At 6500rpm still making 350hp pretty impressive.

MySwiss has a Garret hot housing so it's not comparable.

ciwgg66, here is a shot of the pistons MySwiss is talking about. He used the 101mm, the ones in the photo went into our track car and are 100.5. I have a set of 101 for my spare motor(2.5) and jwl had a set of 101 made for the 2.8 he is building, relocated wrist pin for 3.0L crank.
